Cosmic Motion and Human Perspective

Fall reflections on our cosmic motion—from Nevada's hills to the Great Attractor. Exploring how understanding our 620 km/s journey through space transforms our earthbound perspective of time, consciousness, and what it means to be 'star people.'

Cosmic Motion and Human Perspective

Fall is here in the hills of Nevada. Taking away all thought and emotion, I am able to operate the pen fluidly as a capturing device listening to what comes from the synapse and translated through electricity and motion. Now it seems much more similar to a machine.

Fall in Nevada

Fomalhaut. 3rd phase of the 22 decan. Review. Complete open loops. Prepare. Notice what wants to integrate.

Reflection is what the third phase is labeled as. That and this notion of integration have strongly presented themselves this morning.

Perceiving reality from our earth based human perspective hides the true nature of time, that time is motion. My time is better measured in distance traveled through space, but with space forever vast and shifting, it becomes a problem for quantum machines to help think on.

Looking at Fomalhaut's light coming to my eye 25 years ago. That is just enough to alter the nature of truth and how we see the world, to invite in something far greater and powerful and live our life in a greater perspective and backdrop.

Cosmic Perspective

I don't know why, but tuning into my motion and place in space got me interested in the overall travels and influences of other stars that we can see. Seeing them means they have great influence. The map is vast, and what we can make meaning of in our planetary map view of the sky with our senses is the direct connection to the first layer of stars exerting great influence.

I wonder what is the number of the stars we can say we can see easily, and then furthermore any story of cultural significance beyond identification and name. Are those the original influences from which all else came? And can we tune into this level of life: a star guided, star powered life for the powers that exist on this planet?

This planet is majestic and beautiful and wonderful for life. But we are also traveling in space and that is far more interesting.

Breaking the Matrix

If you were in a plane flying around and never paid attention to your surroundings since the reality is you cannot get out of the plane, that is our Matrix. It's in an open theater, and what keeps us plugged in and believing the maya are our senses and thoughts shaping time from place.

Linear time breaks down over vast distances. We travel vast distances. It boggles my mind that the earth rotates 1,670 km/h (1,037mph) = 0.465 km/s. This is the spin at the equator. Like really?

Then the earth revolves around the sun at 29.78 km/s. 107,200 km/h (66,600 mph). That's devilishly fast. With an orbital period 940 million km. The sidereal day and year.

Earth's Motion Through Space

Our sun orbits the milky way around 230 km/s — 828,000 km/h (514,000 mph) with a galactic year being about 225-230 million years. Funny how when you look on earth you go back in time. When you look into space you go forward in time. Because the translation of motion to time is not lossless perhaps?

Will milky way galaxy and Andromeda (M31) merge? Perhaps. In 4.5 billion years we might know.

The Great Attractor

The Solar System we inhabit moves at 370 km/s relative to the cosmic microwave background (CMB) and the LOCAL GROUP (Milky way + neighbors) moves at 620-630 km/s toward the "Great Attractor" region within the Laniakea supercluster.

That isn't so much to add to the map. And it helps paint a more realistic picture beyond what our senses are locked into on earth. And our being is also at the same time in space heading towards a great attractor, and this deserves attention.

A potential source or director of the overall endless motion is interesting. We are not random, so the entirety of the universe cannot be random. There is certain to be other non randomness or randomness in the universe.

The Great Attractor and Our Motion

The great attractor may be similar to the ocean thermohaline circulation. A deep, slow pull that would be hard to map on the surface and has many other influences. And any sailor knows it pays to know which way the current is heading and what the skies foretell. Our motion in the current of the Great Attractor is as much relevant as our history about the planet we inhabit. One view looks back, the other forward and we are in movement from both perspectives, perpetually.

We are star people, star guided. It is interesting that the view of this current pulling us is obscured by the cloud of the milky way.

What does all this mean to the human, creating, suffering, living, loving? Emotions telling the stories of the cosmos through the eyes of its star children.

When we look at the history of Humanity against the backdrop of the immensity of large scale space motion we have hardly a reference. Even our planet's age may put things into better light, yet that is a static view in the reality where there is constant cycling of planets like our own souls.

Everythingness

Things much greater yet that we are also a part of. If everything can be labeled and understood (even the infinite) and if space has no concepts of bounds then we exist in something of a nothing-ness in terms of definition which makes it the all pervasive everythingness.

We live in the currents of space, drifting along. It is all maddeningly beautiful, intoxicating and deadly all at once.
