Consciousness still records this life among trillions of stars. When does the gap between the giant and the infinite stop mattering, and is the endless asymptote a math question or a philosophical one?

Here we are. Consciousness still records this life and witnesses the planetary movements and place in solar system as the stars above tell the story of time and of our movement among the stars trillions upon billions. When does the reference between so great giant and infinite no longer matter. Or becomes mathematically inconsequential due to the vastness of some large mathematical representation of a model that likely shows the infinite as the endless asymptote to some graph or equation and is there then any material difference or merely philosophical in the shades of gray for interpreting mathematics at the calculable asymptote but when you change reference it becomes one and the same as infinite.
