Where the Wind Is Blowing From

A chill February wind drives me indoors to the kitchen table, where the cat already has the best spot. Then lacing up: assess conditions, know which plays work in which climate, and dive in.

A chill february wind blows. Less gentle than I'd prefer and giving the outdoors an alpine mountain feeling. Funny that our cat finds all the best spots to hang out. I had to move to the interior as my appendages were beginning to freeze from cold winter wind and I came indoors to sit at the kitchen table and open the curtains which is typically where Mr. Cat is sunning himself on cool winter days. Makes sense. Of course everybody is gathered here now and I'm distracted by water being gulped and food chomped and the licking of fur. Might as well join.

The fact that I didn't finish this page is meaningless because I'm here now and lamenting on that any more than a few lines would be a waste but I'll happily use that thought and energy to build starting momentum like lacing up and to take the temperature of the water so where the wind is blowing from: assess current conditions and then dive in head long without hesitation and fully prepared knowing how to act in this climate and what to look for to recognize meaningful shifts and to have appropriate strategies in place when those conditions come to surface and bear down and knowing what plays work in which climate and which are not complementary and should be run in serial and dedicated to a certain set of conditions. Shall we say.
