SUNYATA: a film where no two voices ever begin together
SUNYATA is Song 19 in Out of Your Mind, and the quietest thing we have made. No kick, no clap, no percussion, no bass anywhere. Emptiness is not absence, it is the space that lets form happen, so the score has no chord events at all: no two voices ever share an onset, the four of them breathe against each other to keep the room level, and at the arrival the bell plays around the title rather than on it.
